Hmmm. Somehow whatever I do my pictures are scatty & my type ends up all over the place. Perhaps someone knows how I fix this little problem...? Anyway here goes. If the type & the photos don't match up I'm sure all you clever ladies can work out what on earth I'm gabbling about.
I did plenty of this while the rain drizzled down...

New Holland honeyeaters at the bird bath; Ma gets quite a colony twice a day.

And what do you give the woman who has everything? Well, if you're me you find something goofy & kinky that she'll absolutely love or absolutely hate...... Ditz complained about the boobs but poor thing; she needs something to rest on...

Here's the water flooding over the boardwalk opposite. Ma's villa is right on the canal with a pleasant view of the little park opposite. Nothing like our views!

And the insane cat, Pixie. I dunno. Something about this family. All our animals are absolute characters with one of a kind personalities. Ma talks to hers too.

I'm back from my getaway as well. I can relate to what you mentioned about your Mom. I saw my folks last Friday before hooking up with my dauhgter. Everytime I leave them I struggle with the tears. When I left my daughter and the girlies I didn't. I told my best friend Brenda that maybe it's because I think of the years ahead I have (if God so ordains) with her and her family. With my folks I know that the time we have is much more limited. My Mom turns 70 this year and Pop will be 78. I think that's why it's so hard to say goodbye.

You've hit the nail on the proverbial head. I had a 'last time' with my dad & mum's over 70 now so I know my time is limited & this time is not going to last forever. Mark's death really train wrecked me for goodbyes too. They're so jolly final. I hate endings! Good books, good times, famuly get togethers; nine of them should ever end. Like my header says, lol.
