Liddy has flown the coop...temporarily. She wangled herself a long weekend & has gone up to spend it with her grandmother, aunt & cousin as she can't get the time off work to come with Ditz & I on our annual treck.
Ditz is beside herself. Firstly Liddy gets to see her cousin & she's not there! Secondly, Liddy is gone!!!! What is a girl to do?
I have bought all the ingredients for Diane's ''fudge'' to occupy the Ditzy one. It seriously looks like Rocky Road to me but we will try it & see. And we've got the ingredients for more chocolate crackles. Liddy eyed us dragging all this stuff out of the shop & set up an immediate wail that we waited till she was gone to cook such goodies! Can't win, whatever I do. If she is very, very, very lucky I will manage to hide some just for her for when she gets home on Monday but both boys are home & they have a nose like you wouldn't believe for homemade goodies!

Chocolate Crackles? That sounds interesting! I am sick to death of sweets around the house! I can't believe I actually said that! We made so many goodies at Christmastime that I think I'll get nauseas if I look at one more cookie, piece of fudge or truffle! I have barely the urge to cook dinner lately since I spent so much time in the kitchen in December! Usually by March I am in the mood to bake the occassional batch of toll house cookies or pan of brownies! Enjoy your weekend!

Fudge is one of my weaknesses, especially my mother's recipe calling for marshmallow cream... :)
Oh, I do hope you like the fudge:-) You'll have to let me know if it is the same as "Rocky Road". And now you must let us know what Chocolate Crackles are. Unlike the previous poster, Constance, I never tire of sweets, and sadly, have the waistline to prove it!
Can you believe it? I didnt make any fudge this year. Im the only one that really eats it and I dont need the pounds. But now i miss my fudge!!
